Halloween….Behind The Mask

People generally celebrate religious festivals nowadays without giving much thought as to the meaning or significance behind them.

One example of this would be Christmas…how many people understand that Christmas is the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere?….the time when the sun is at its weakest.

The winter solstice is the midnight of the year!

In the suns journey round the zodiac circuit of the year,it has reached the sign of Capricorn/tropic of Capricorn….and the light of day is in short supply……the darkness rules the day…the nights are long and it is cold…however at the winter solstice the sun is “born again” and it starts its climb back up to the tropic of Cancer.

The sun is born again…..and it is only going to gain in strength each day….the daylight is gradually lengthening.

The light/Jesus/saviour has returned to the world!

You can see the zodiacal influence hidden in the festival of Christmas….just under the surface as usual…however it’s only noticed if you recognize the patterns.

For instance….we have the twelve days of Christmas….. why 12?

Think the 12 could have anything to do with the 12 signs of the zodiac?

Santa is a personification of the God Saturn who rules the winter solstice..why?Because Saturn rules Capricorn!

The sun is born at Christmas in the sign of Capricorn….just as the sun is down at the tropic of Capricorn.

Remember Saturn is “Old Father Time”/Chronos….and old father time/Saturn has a long white beard.

The book “the secret teachings of all ages” says this on page 243

However in this blog we will be focusing on another festival celebration and using the zodiac as a key to unravel its meaning.

This festival is Halloween….autumns mysterious festival that falls each year on October 31st.

How many people know the reason why people dress in grotesque costumes of demons and ghosts on this night?

People generally do it from the sheer force of custom,habit and tradition and little or no understanding of the meaning.

Whereas Christmas and Easter are regarded as religious festivals…Halloween is seen as more of a secular festival….expressing frivolity and mischief rather than the piety of the other two.

yet when it was originally conceived it was just as important as these others and the significance actually is inherent in the bizarre observance

so why the revelry?……why the grotesque?…why the freedom from moral restraint?…why the wearing of masks?

why the acting like an untamed animal for a night?

why the candle shining through a grinning pumpkin?

why bobbing for apples in a tub of water?

why witches riding the sky on a broomstick?

why imps and sprites and monsters and even the hint of satan himself on this last night of october?

well lets look past the outward form of the ritual and look at the inner meaning

although if you’ve read my previous blogs you will already be forming some connections already

just as the sun has a four part “life” each year on the earth….spring/summer/autumn/winter

and the 12 zodiacal segments or steps are divided into these four seasons

the 12 divided into the 4 segments …each segment/season…containing three signs each

the three are

cardinal

fixed

mutable

spring has the 3…aries (cardinal fire)…taurus (fixed earth)….gemini (mutable air)

summer has….cancer (cardinal water)…leo (fixed fire)….virgo (mutable earth)

autumn has….libra (cardinal air)……scorpio (fixed water)…sagittarius (mutable fire)

winter has…..capricorn (cardinal earth)….aquarius (fixed air)…pisces (mutable water)

and the two solstices and two equinoxes representing the boundaries between the 4 sections making a cross

well so does the inner sun/sol/soul in man according to the hidden teachings

the ancients used the zodiac as a representation of the evolution of mans divine soul as it swung round the repeated cycles of life in incarnation/consciousness

sensation was the first grade of consciousness represented by the september point (autumnal equinox…(OR FALL))

emotion is represented by the december point (winter solstice)

mind is represented by the march point (spring equinox)

spirit by the june point (summer solstice)

and just as water moves from steam to liquid to solid so does the inner soul/psyche/sun of man

well this part of the cycle is representing the setting sun…or the fall

this happens each year around september 21st…..however what does halloween (october 31st) have to do with september 21st?

well the interval of 40 days holds the answer to the question

an interval of 40 days?…..anyone who reads the bible will know very well this period of time

along with 7..10 and 12 …40 is one of the numbers seen often throughout the scriptures

in ancient times forty was the number symbol of the interval of “death” of the germ/seed when incubated in matter

it is a gestation period…or dark interval before a new life cycle starts

so with all that in mind…..count 40 days from september 21st and you arrive at october 31st

so the “holy night” or “hallowed even” (halloween) was set for the 40th day after the “fall/autumn” of the soul that fell into incarnation….carno means “flesh” in latin

so the soul entered its incarnation and after an incubation period of 40 days culminated its progress in its final glorified state and emerged into the hallowed state of its initial/incipient stage of emerging godhood/sainthood again

and isnt it apt that november first…the day after halloween is called “all saints day”

the 31st of october(halloween) virtually symbolizes…what easter symbolizes at the end of the 40 days of lent….the soul in both cycles comes to its beatification at the forty days end.

its the journey round the zodiac from positive to negative….summer to winter……exhalation to inhalation

its nature…the cyclical nature of things

and paul tells us in 1st corinthians 15:45-49

45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall6 also bear the image of the man of heaven.

and again mark 4:28 says

“All by itself the soil (matter/isis) produces grain (the spiritual)–first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.”

the human body arrives first to build a brain and nervous system through which thought and mind and consciousness come

so it is the first stage of our unfoldment that halloween portrays…the animal stage

and the glorification of all saints day comes after the animal stage/halloween in us

and it is this animal stage that is being revered at halloween…….

night precedes day…….god said “let there be light” and brought it out of the darkness of primordial night

the sun rises out of the earth/water/hell and night in the natural cycle of the day

he’s leaving the sun behind in the card above and about to set off on his adventures

he’s the unenlightened one…the one who has no clue who he is…in fact he is about to step over a precipice!

it is a symbol of the souls immersion in matter and new beginnings!

according to the secret teachings the soul is in its unawakened state of its childhood

and this is a deep…esoteric meaning of the celebration of halloween…..and the foolishness surrounding the festival

the court jester/fool and the king are representations of the two polarities in the soul

kings also had their fools in the castle……just as we have both in our castle!

in the top half spring/summer of the zodiac the soul is as king

and the bottom half of the zodiac autumn/winter it is likened to the fool

another designation for halloween was in old English history named nutcracker night.

the symbolic relevance embodied in the term would not seem to be too difficult to resolve. It has already been mentioned that according to occult teachings….the soul enters body at the september date of the year’s cycle, and it can enter it only as seed of its future growth. a common form of seed in the vegetable kingdom is the nut……once planted in the soil of human life……..the evolutionary task of the divine potential is to crack open the shell and bring out the kernel for the purposes of new growth…

hence the figure of nut-cracking.

(this nut cracking is also the born again experience spoken of by jesus

just like the shell of the nut…it must dissolve for the plant or tree to grow

and now think of all the times jesus spoke in allegory about the seed in the ground and seed growing into the tree

and paul talking about the two adams

and it is also the meaning behind a lot of bible allegories

for instance….it is a rending of the temple curtain in the mortal body that will release the christ consciousness at the death of said body

however back to the autumnal theme

the prime theme of halloween is revelry as the soul comes into the flesh and the opposite is carnival which means putting or shoving away the flesh that happens just before the 40 days of lent….so the flesh gives itself one last party around this time

can you see how this part of the year from halloween till close to easter is the time for incarnation…..or the dark night of the soul

the part of the soul’s cycle in which it sees through a glass darkly!

the natural cycle on earth shows us this is when things crystallize…..ice and snow etc

this is when the soul embodied in flesh is given free rein to impulses of the flesh and in the indulgence of carnality

the soul is in darkness….it has crystallized…or christ-alized the light is in the world but not of the world

the story of the christ is telling us of the journey through matter of our own inner sun or soul/sol

the soul is imprisoned in the “animal” and is tempted by sensation

this is the real temptation of christ…when he went into the wilderness for 40 days and the bible says he was “with the wild animals”

and he was born in a stable among animals also!

and can you also see the story of the prodigal son emerging!

in fact myth abounds with stories like this souls being among animals or jonah swallowed by a whale….nebuchadnezzar becoming like an animal (remember he even lost his reasoning?)…daniel in the lions den…romulus and remus being suckled by a she-wolf

this is what halloween is telling us about!

why witches though?…why is halloween associated with witches?

the german word for witch is hex….six…witches are also associated with the female usually

and the female is associated with matter…saturn and matter/isis/the virgin are linked by the number 6….(see the blog saturn the lord of the rings for more on the six)..and while the inner male sol/soul is entrenched in feminine matter it can seem grotesque…it is the god in the feminine state of winter/night/hell/darkness…..remember…earth and water are the female elements

so the male soul/mind entrenched in female matter can give us a glimpse of why a witch has a broomstick….it’s the male phallus!

and you can see more male symbolism…because the witch flies in the sky….air (male principle)

and when the witch is on her broomstick you will usually see the moon…and when the soul is giving vent to its carnal impulses it is subject to lunacy for this one night

and over it as a matrix…man’s physical body was formed of earthy
material… it is lunar influence that affects the two lower bodies…so says the arcane astrological
science…it is solar influence that dominates the two upper bodies…the mental and the spiritual.
but when soul migrates from heaven to earth it comes first predominantly under the lunar
forces, which bestir in the body the fires of sense and emotion

and talking about the matrix above….the film the matrix is telling us allegorically about spirit emerging out of matter

the word “matrix” means breeding female…mother….womb…..matter!

and isn’t it interesting that in the film the main character is called thomas (the twin/two parts of the zodiac/john the baptist and jesus/the two adams etc) anderson

and he is also called neo…..neo means new…and anderson….ander means man…and son

new son of man!

and neo is an anagram of one

remember isis/matter/matrix said…the fruit I bring forth is the sun/son

and the new son of man comes out of the matrix/mother/isis/matter

matter comes first and then mind

again…is this just wordplay?

now why do we bob or duck for apples?….think of the fall of man…..and by tradition eve offered adam the apple to eat…and ducking into water for the apple is the same symbolism of baptism…the soul has been captured into water with the promise that it will one day make its way back out of the water into the air(male element) again

just like the sun plunging into the sea at sunset!

and the pumpkin with the grotesque face and the light on in the head

through our mind (head) while we are in the earthly body..the grotesque earthiness symbolized by the pumpkin…the soul is represented by the fire in the mind…the almost extinguished flame shining through the mask of the earthy body…its the dark night of the soul

and while in the heavenly part of the souls journey…..there is a whole body of light according to religious and occult teachings…its the daytime of the soul!

why do people wear masks which hide their identity at halloween?

this is symbolism of the mask of personality

the “god” is staring out at the world through the eyes of an animal/earthiness/matter while incarnated…again think of the pumpkin!

halloween is the masquerade ball of the ego-soul in man…. he is a (potential) god…yet here he is cavorting in the disguise of the beast in the world of the senses

he is a persona…per-(through) sona-(sound)

when in this flesh the fool learns through the pain that his folly brings…it teaches the soul lessons…the flesh is like a teacher chipping away at the soul…teaching it lessons

so there is a conflict between the mind and the flesh

this is what the book of revelation is telling us

thus begins the inner battle of armageddon spoken of pictorially in revelation

as the mind starts the battle to rein in the desires of the flesh…because the sensual flesh stubbornly refuses to take the reins

all to bring about the balance or marriage between the male and female…..aka mind (male) and flesh/emotions (female)

this is the real meaning of the marriage of the lamb

and the secret of the ancient alchemists when they symbolized it thus

see the feet of the androgyne on the moon?….the soul has conquered the lower half of the zodiac…the feminine/winter part of the cycle….symbolised by the moon/feminine principle

its also the meaning of david slaying goliath….hitting him in the forehead with the stone

the meaning of the child hercules grappling with the two serpents

the old adam (the senses/emotions) through evolution will give way to the new adam (mind/spirit)

mind is the magician that puts the dragon to sleep and lets the maid escape from her prison

in the yearly cycle the two forces…male and female meet at the spring equinox

its the twilight of the year

An ashlar is a stone used in masonry……

ayin is capricorn  is west below….just a wee sidenote…the hebrew letter ayin means “eye” and it corresponds with capricorn….capricorn is the goat…..capricorn is ruled by the planet saturn/satan……now do you see another connection with the eye of the devil/satan/the goat…or the “evil eye”…….it’s nature and the zodiac…and the hebrew letters…..incidentally…..the film “eye of the devil” was sharon tates first film…(sharon tate was murdered by charles mansons group of followers in the 60’s)………….the film was originally called 13 and at the end….(spoiler alert…he he) david niven has to pay for the poor wine harvest by giving his life up……he stands in the middle of 12 hooded men in a circle……now I wonder what that represents….it couldn’t be the zodiac…could it?

(david niven’s character is representing the sun….and the man shoots him with an arrow….the horseman being sagittarius…..the man with the bow and arrow rides a white horse….isn’t there a verse in revelation about a rider with a bow on a white horse?….the one who pierces the sun with the spear or arrow to send him off to death…..(jesus was pierced with a spear)….and then you see his son…..the new ruler to be!…………………………… just as the new sun is born on december 25th each year)

again…. the angel measured it and it is 1200 stadia in length…breadth and height...length breadth and height are the 3 dimensions……and also if you remember…aleph…mem…and shin…the 3 dimensional hebrew letters…new jerusalem is a cube!

can you see it’s all about the zodiac?….each one of those stones mentioned in the verses above equate with one of the zodiac signs

it also works with the musical scale………a piano has 88 keys…..yet it only ever has 12 notes to pick from…..hmmm…12 notes….number 12 again….and seven of those notes are the white keys…ADCDEFG…..seven notes?….could they equate with the 7 planets?

and also the 7 months of light in the earth?…aries,taurus,gemini,cancer,leo,virgo,libra……these are the 7 candles in the menorah…the 7 months of light….before the sting of the scorpion “bites” and kills the sun and light for 5 months

do you remember the 4 elements?….earth…air…fire and water?

again……two are male…and two female

fire and air are male principles…the upward pointing triangles…or blades

….earth and water are female elements….downward pointing triangles…or chalices

the male elements represent the day/light/jesus/lingam

the female principles represent the night/darkness/lucifer/yoni

 

now get this…..the sun sets every evening in the west

if you watch it going down…it will descend into one of the female elements

if you’re near the sea…it will descend into water

if you’re on land….it will descend into the earth

the sun is going down into darkness/death/hell….in the west……..can you see how the two elements earth and water represent darkness and the feminine?…..exactly pictured as the black section of the yin/yang….and the west is also feminine

and every year the feminine/dark part is the autumn/winter

and if you watch the sun rise in the east…it comes out of those two female elements…earth or water….. and rises into the air (a male element)

and you will see the fire/light….feel the heat from the fire (the other male element) in the sky

can you see the two male elements in this daily drama?….fire and air?

this is why the female/winter colours are black and red…..nighttime…think santa/satan/saturn

or we need the dormant seed inside us to start to grow in the earth and water of our bodies

the wind/air/masculine element blows to meet the water/female element………the male and female

and we know what happens when the male and female come together…..things happen…births and stuff!

and if the spark doesn’t happen…..what happens to the egg in the woman every month?

it is flushed out…….the water and earth in her body is expelled….she has her period

and her body starts the next cycle…….to get to the summer part of the cycle of the soul……you need to provide the inner spark/born again/enlightenment/awakening/spirit…..male

the egyptians called the part of the cycle which we are in right now….amenta…we are in the underworld…..the winter of our souls cycle

this is why the egyptians had a book called the book of the dead……..we are the dead…..this is also why it’s called the fall/autumn of man

when we enter matter through the gates (vagina) of mater/mother/matter/meri/martha/maya/isis

we are walking in that darkest valley…right now…we are in bodies of matter…the winter cycle of our inner zodiac

it’s an awakening experience…when you realize things arent as you once thought!…….when I discovered the truth about my religion as a jehovah’s witness…..it truly was amazing and tough at the same time…it was a roller coaster experience

seeing everyone around me still in complete ignorance/darkness and being “born again” (in other words awakening to the lies)/awake/aware myself was a surreal experience…….in other words…..I could see that the witnesses around me were actually in deep ignorance of any real truth….and the ironic thing is…they all say that they are in “the truth”

and yet they are in deep ignorance…….accepting the lie…loving the lie!

and they resented me for trying to even briefly mentioning anything contrary to what they have been programmed to believe!

and I’m sure every jehovah’s witness that went through that awakening themselves will relate to what I’m saying

its a surreal/tough journey….that not many people can take…why?
