In memory of Ida Craddock.
Before we start on this blog I am going to post the front cover picture from my copy of “the secret teachings of all ages” (the book that gives me lots of info for this blog)….I want to post it for your perusal.
If you have been following the blog from the beginning you should maybe start to see and recognize at least some symbolism in the picture, and the more you continue to ponder on things you will continually gain a greater understanding of these concepts within yourself!
In fact every time I pick up the secret teachings book, something new jumps out at me,some new abstract thought that connects with other already learned things.
How much of the symbolism do you grasp from the picture?
Look again in 6 months….you should start to see more and more things as you gain deeper insights.
For instance why is water coming out of the lions mouth?
Can you see the four elements?
The seven planets?
12 signs of the zodiac?
The royal arch?
Back to this blog dealing with the connections between sex and religion.
Song of Solomon 4:13-16
Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with choice fruits, with henna and nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree, with myrrh and aloes and all the finest spices. You are a garden fountain,a well of flowing water, streaming down from Lebanon.
16Awake, north wind, and come, south wind!
“Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread everywhere.
Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.”
“The tree of life was in the midst of the garden.”
SEX AND RELIGION
Well……..are sex and religion bosom (pun intended) buddies?
You wouldn’t think so,on a surface level they seem miles apart.
However it’s only when you make the effort to scratch under the surface, only when you make the effort to dig deep is it plain to see,and rightly so…..why?
Why is it not apparent to all,why can’t most people see it?
Because some people are not ready for the deeper truths, they are only for those actively seeking them!
Paul said this in his letter to the Corinthians.
1st Corinthians 3:2
King James Bible
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
What did he mean?
Well one thing would be that there is a lot more going on in the bible than meets the eye.
There is an interpretation that will be milk-like for those who can only stomach the mild interpretation…..
And another interpretation for those who can stomach the deeper truths about life itself!
Sex,reproduction and the parts of the human body that are used for reproductive purposes would be one of the subjects of those deeper truths, however not all are ready to examine those truths.
Yet the thing is,life itself is based on reproductive forces, and despite whatever prudery or refinement of emotion we have attained we cannot ignore their influence.
Manly Palmer Hall wrote this in his book “the secret teachings of all ages” mentioned above (told you I used it a lot) : )
“THE yoni and phallus were worshiped by nearly all ancient peoples as appropriate symbols of God’s creative power. The Garden of Eden, the Ark, the Gate of the Temple, the Veil of the Mysteries, the vesica piscis or oval nimbus, and the Holy Grail are important yonic symbols; the pyramid, the obelisk, the cone, the candle, the tower, the Celtic monolith, the spire, the campanile, the Maypole, and the Sacred Spear are symbolic of the phallus. In treating the subject of Priapic worship, too many modern authors judge pagan standards by their own and wallow in the mire of self-created vulgarity. The Eleusinian Mysteries–the greatest of all the ancient secret societies–established one of the highest known standards of morality and ethics, and those criticizing their use of phallic symbols should ponder the trenchant words of King Edward III, “Honi soit qui mal y pense.””
“The prudery of today, however, declares this same mystery to be unfit for the consideration of holy-minded people. Contrary to the dictates of reason, a standard has been established which affirms that innocence bred of ignorance is more to be desired than virtue born of knowledge. Eventually, however, man will learn that he need never be ashamed of truth. Until he does learn this, he is false to his God, to his world, and to himself. In this respect, Christianity has woefully failed in its mission. While declaring man’s body to be the living temple of the living God, in the same breath it asserts the substances and functions of this temple to be unclean and their study defiling to the sensitive sentiments of the righteous. By this unwholesome attitude, man’s body–the house of God–is degraded and defamed. Yet the cross itself is the oldest of phallic emblems, and the lozenge-shaped windows of cathedrals are proof that yonic symbols have survived the destruction of the pagan Mysteries. The very structure of the church itself is permeated with phallicism. Remove from the Christian Church all emblems of Priapic origin and nothing is left, for even the earth upon which it stands was, because of its fertility, the first yonic symbol. As the presence of these emblems of the generative processes is either unknown or unheeded by the majority, the irony of the situation is not generally appreciated. Only those conversant with the secret language of antiquity are capable of understanding the divine significance of these emblems.”
Notice he said the “Garden of Eden” was one of those symbols representing the yoni?
Now think what the “tree of life” in the “garden” is speaking about in genesis 2:9 quoted above!
Sex and worship were…..ahem….interlinked in the past. For instance, what about the obelisks of Egypt?
Like this one at Luxor!
They are representations of many things as all symbols have many layers.
However one symbolic representation of the obelisk is the erect penis, another is the sun’s ray.
Now,let’s leave the comstockery behind for a bit,and have a deeper look at things.
The erect penis is the life giver to matter/mater/the matrix/mother (as is the suns rays)….it is a natural fact and the ancients knew it well.
They knew and understood the breast of the mother was the life preserver, and the vagina (the duat/tuat/twat) was the bringer of life to this realm, the gates of life or portal to this existence,so the ancients worshiped and had reverence for the feminine principle also.
The two polarities(male/female) were worshiped in Egypt and elsewhere as symbols of the male and female principles/polarities/opposites,as they noticed it in themselves and nature around them.
The phallus and cteis
In a treatise on agriculture…the roman writer Columella said this:-
“It is the union of the universe with itself,or the mutual action of the two sexes, the great secrets of nature, her sacred orgies, her mysteries, which have been portrayed in the initiations with innumerable emblems.from these are derived the ithyphallic feasts and the consecration of the phallus and cteis,or sexual organs,of man and woman in the ancient sanctuaries”
The Hindu’s worshiped the same things in the form of the lingam and yoni.
In the picture above can you see the resemblance between the yoni and this revered symbol at the Kaaba below?
That was India and the Middle East.
These things were revered worldwide though,as shown in the next example.
Newgrange in Northern Ireland.
This was built around 3200 b.c.
have a look at the shape of Newgrange.
It is a circle and a mound…..representing the female pudendum.
It says this on the wiki page below….”every winter solstice the sun shines in the “narrow passage” and illuminates the interior!”
The ray of the sun penetrates the passage of Newgrange just as the male member penetrates the female and brings new life, and the new sun/son is born every year at the winter solstice.
It illuminates the triple spiral on the front wall of the chamber.
Why a triple spiral?
According to kabbalah its the three parts of nothingness…namely:-
Ain Soph Aur
The suns rays/penis illuminate the interior of Newgrange narrow passage/vagina(as above so below).
So we have seen sexual symbolism in ancient Egypt,India and Ireland.
If you scratch under the surface of any religious symbols, you will find reproduction behind them,in every culture.
In Britain the Cerne Abbas giant is situated next to a trendle.
See the trendle at the top right of the picture?
It is the rectangular shaped object…whether it is square, diamond, rectangle, oval or round it represents the female principle.
The number four represents the female, the square and the rectangle, the four elements of matter/mater/mother and matrix.
So also do the circle and oval.
The erect penis of the giant above represents spirit about to bring matter to life…..again reproduction.
The coming together of the male and the female.
For those bible readers among us,remember the miracle when Aarons rod budded?….it produced almonds?
Aarons rod budding?…represents the penis
Almonds symbolize the vagina due to the similarity in shape.
The male and female principles.
Back to Egypt again!
Think of a pyramid….the base is square…(the four elements)
And it goes up to the top point (the one)…(the fifth element)
The pyramidion brings the four into one!
It is the stone at the head of every corner of the pyramid which brings oneness.
the book of acts 4:11
King James Bible
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Jesus is the head of the corner, the fifth element, the sun,the light…the pyramidion.
whether the Cerne giant and trendle or the pyramid and pyramidion…they are both talking about matter and spirit.
They are symbolizing the four elements, and the fifth element that is apart from the four.
The erect penis on the giant represents that spirit.
The erect penis is the “rock that begat thee” as it says in the scriptures.
People who are out of touch are often called “squares”
Freemasonry talks about being on the square
The square means the foundation, and foundations of buildings are usually square.
It is the platform on which we can build, and the fifth element (light/consciousness/sperm) is what activates the building blocks of matter/mother.
Pattern and matter,Pater and Mater, father and mother…..male and female.
Talking about freemasonry above, lets get back to some sexual symbolism in the craft.
(Forget all the nonsense about freemasons worshiping the devil, they understand these deep truths which tend to scare the pious and holier than thou’s away.Think of the link between the sun and sex, people generally shy away from looking at both of them, the light is a little too strong for some folks, and you can include truth with the sun and sex on the list, they are difficult to face,to confront and examine)
Ready for some wordplay!
Occult orders use wordplay all the time, and here’s a great example.
Ever heard of the “third degree?”
In the third degree of freemasonry they receive a password………”Tubal Cain.”
Who or what is “Tubal Cain?”
He is a character found in the bible at genesis 4:22.
“Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron.”
So what does that password “Tubal Cain” mean …if anything?
Well interestingly enough, some freemasons have a golf tournament every year.
It is called the “Two Ball Cane” classic…….Tubal Cain….get it?
You also may think its a play on words with the balls and club of golf…which it is!
However,is there also a sexual meaning to “two ball cane?”
Well do men not have a “two ball cane?”
The penis and two testicles?
Here below is a picture of the badge for the “two ball cane” tournament.
It is the penis..and wouldn’t that be two feet and a circle below it?
Also remember the compass and square are a representation of the male and female in sexual union.
What are the chances that the square of the compass and square symbol,is the female part, and we are back to the four representing the female, the four elements and the square.
However both the compass and square actually represent the four elements.
Why?…..because even though the compass represents the male,a compass also draws circles, and circles represent the female.
And the square although being the feminine principle….draws lines and straight lines are male.
It is showing/saying the same thing as the yin/yang.
The male contains the female, and the female contains the male.
It’s the four elements again, two male and two female.
Men although masculine have a feminine nature to a greater or lesser degree.
And women although feminine have a masculine nature, again to a greater or lesser degree.
It is a spectrum, and all have it to a large or small extent.
It is the “fourness” seen throughout nature.
Again it is what “TETRAGRAMMATON” is symbolizing.
It’s not only the freemasonic order that has the sexual symbolism hidden in plain view for those who can “see.”
What about the OTO? Ordo Templi Orientis,(Order of the Eastern Temple)
Notice the East?……The East is the place of life, the West the place of death.
The sun rises in the East to bring life and light to the day,and it sets in the West, when darkness and cold return(death)
Look again at the letters “OTO”
Again can you see two balls, and a cane in between?
It’s right in front of your eyes, yet you will only see it,when you start to grasp the patterns!
Most peoples eyes unfortunately….are eyes wide shut.
What about the ankh of Egypt, the “Crux Ansata?”
Now you know why the ankh means key of life, the penis and vagina ARE the key of life.
When the male “key” is inserted into the female “lock”,life is brought about!
The “Fleur de Lys?” symbol also represents sex,We have the penis and two testicles and they are inside a band or circle.
If you get the patterns, you might be thinking differently also about 007 now!….he he.
What about Aleister Crowley’s “Thoth deck” tarot card of the devil.
Aleister Crowley’s signature is interesting also.
What about the Washington monument,it wouldn’t happen to be an obelisk in a circle would it?
In this picture taken by Bill Ingalls for NASA it is actually in a circle and vesica piscis.
Talking about pointed ovals, aren’t church doors that shape also?
Can you see the sexual symbolism all around us?
What about the Vatican?
Again the obelisk inside a circle.
This is the cross of the four elements….matter……and the obelisk is the penis that brings the four elements of matter to life.
And yet another example, what about the “Chi Rho” symbol?
Notice the “P” inside the cross of four…the x?
It is a symbol of the sex act, just like the compass and square, again it’s not crude it is literally “life.”
What about church steeples?
Go google for yourself and see for yourself that they represent the erect penis.
Here’s one close by me in Glasgow…and it is inside a circle!
And that circle is at an angle, just like the ecliptic.
See the ecliptic and the…..ahem…pole piercing it.
Just like the steeple on the church above.
It is everywhere around us when we get eyes to see the patterns.
As the “Adam and Eve/Odd and Even” blog says…it’s all about ones and zeros folks!
And it is!
“I” “O” is the male and female,an ancient name for God was IO or IU,again see the male and female?
The U is the vagina,it is also why we use horseshoes for “good luck” or to scare away demons/darkness. (A horseshoe “U” representing the vagina, which scares away demons and gives good luck just like the sheela na gigs below)
We can see it in the name of IUPITER or jupiter
Here are some feminine sexual symbols called “Sheela na gigs” from the UK and Ireland.
Now you should also know and understand one of the secrets (there are many) of the Rosicrucian “rosy cross.”
The male phallic cross inside the rose.
And it is the secret of the cross and crown logo.
And Jesus did and does bring the dead to life.
He is the semen/light that brings life to the barren, bleeding wasteland.
Are you starting to see the patterns yet?
Do you think there is a similarity between the yoni and lingam and St Peters Square?
The matrix is all around you Neo….he he
The matrix is the female (the four) and Neo is the “One”…the fifth element!
