I’m from Glasgow in Scotland.
I was a Jehovah’s Witness for 22 years ….until I discovered my religion was completely false in 2005.
Jehovah’s Witnesses call themselves “the truth” and believe 100% that they alone have the truth of the bible….and every other religion will be destroyed soon and everyone not a member of the JW’s will be wiped off the earth.
However after finding out the truth about “the truth” I was hit with a double whammy.
First off,it is crushing to realize that the religion you thought was true for decades ….is completely false.
You have two choices at this stage…..
1/….You can try ignoring what you know and keep going along to their meetings….never telling anyone your findings……knowing that if you do…the consequences of doing so will devastate your life.
2/….Act on the truths you learn and be ostracized forever by your closest friends and family.
All of your former “friends” will ignore you….slander you to others (Marie Graham in Bishopbriggs is one of those slanderers….one of many…you all know who you are)……..and avoid you completely even at a funeral or my own son’s wedding.
(My son didn’t even mention me at his wedding speech which devastated me,however I know he’s under mind control and if you ever read this Zak….I love and forgive you….I know unless you wake up we’ll never speak again….that is why I will fight this cult till my dying breath for what they do to family bonds.)
Jehovah’s witnesses won’t even say “hello” if they pass you on the street or in a shop……you are cut off completely…and they make sure you know you are in the doghouse….he he.
I chose the red pill!
I lost my religion…and all my friends who think I’m the baddie in the whole situation.
(Update…I also lost my family and ended up homeless)
It is quite a unique place to be to have not one person in this world to speak to!
Many times I have wanted to throw the towel in.
You either fold …….or dust yourself down and get on with things.
However my thirst to find out about God led me to look at “forbidden” occult literature just as I had “apostate” literature.
I wanted to know why it was forbidden or frowned upon to research it.
So I did and learned some amazing things…..this blog contains some of my findings.
A few people who I would like to thank for their deep insights are:-
The Rev. Robert Taylor.
Alvin Boyd Kuhn.
Manly Palmer Hall.
Lon Milo Duquette.
and many many others.
